Facebook: Help No Nonsense Donate Socks To Those In Need (Just Click)
No Nonsense has a great promo on their Facebook page and a chance for you to help others in need. If you aren't a fan of No Nonsense yet head on over HERE and like them. For every new "like" they get they will donate a pair of socks to someone in need. This is a great way to help others without it costing you a thing.
If you are already a fan you can still participate. Just go to the Socks for America tab on the left hand side of the page, click on it and then click on the donate button. No Nonsense will then donate a pair of socks in your name and if you share the promo with friends you can get FREE shipping at No Nonsense.
I have been a fan of No Nonsense for a while and they often post specials and freebies on their Facebook page. Love it!
From No Nonsense's Facebook page:
We need your help! For every new No nonsense facebook fan, we'll donate a pair of socks to someone in need. Tell your friends and family. It's a super easy way to make a small difference in the world. Thank you!

Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive (5/14)
Tomorrow is the National Association of Letter Carriers "Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive." This is a great opportunity to help your local community and it's food bank. I love the fact that they are willing to pick it up for you!
Raid your cupboards and put any non-perishable food products in a bag that you would like to donate and set it out by your mailbox so that your mail carrier can pick it up Saturday (morning?). How easy is that!
This is also a good learning moment for those who have kids. I love to have my kids help me pick out things to donate and we talk about where it is going and the importance of helping others. =0)

Helping Those In Need ~ Tornado Disaster Relief
I know that we have all heard about the tornadoes that happened last week in Alabama and surrounding states and I am sure that some of us are wondering how can we help. This is a great time to raid our stockpiles and put our coupons to use to help those who have lost everything.
Kristin over at Couponing to Disney (one of my favorite blogs) is doing an amazing effort to help those in her community who were affected by the recent tornadoes here in the US. She is working with her church to collect and distribute much needed supplies. The best part is that she is making it easy for us to help also (she has provided a list of needed items and a mailing address).
I find it so amazing and heartwarming when we come together as a large community and help those who need it. It is also a great opportunity to teach our kids how to share and what it means to be a member of a global community.
This is from Kristin (via Couponing to Disney):
Wednesday my town was hit by a tornado. We suffered loss of homes, businesses, vehicles, etc. Praise the Lord we did not suffer many losses of life. Unfortunately, it wasn’t over. Later in the day, more tornadoes touched the ground in Alabama killing at least 250 people. They are reporting that the tornadoes were EF3, EF4 and EF5s (which is the worst kind).
Southerners are in dire need of some of the most basic necessities and I am working with my local church to start an online donation drive to help the victims of these storms. If you have any items that you would love to mail to us, we will gladly take them. Here are a few things that we are in need of:
Updated list:
Baby supplies (including diapers, wipes, A&D Ointment, baby food and juices)
Blankets
Bungee Cords
Can openers
Charcoal grills (small)
Construction materials
Convenience food (snack type)
Deodorant
Diabetic Monitors with Strips
First aid kits
Gloves
Hand tools
Non-perishable food items (including
Over the counter medications)
Pet supplies
Ropes
Soap Powders and Cleaning Supplies
Socks and underwear *NEW*
Sunscreen and Bug Spray
Tarps
Trash bags
Water
Yard tools (rake/shovel)
We will gladly take anything that you are willing to send.
Used items: We will gladly accept used clothing, shoes, and household items. Please use your own judgment on if they are in good shape or not.
You can mail your donations to my church. We will ensure they get into the right hands. You have my personal guarantee that all donations will be distributed:
Disaster Relief
c/o First Baptist Church of Moody
902 Church Street
Moody, AL 35004
If you would like to send a monetary donation, please memo your check as Disaster Relief.
Thank you, Kristin, for all that you are doing.
