My Shopping Trip to Albertsons- $29.76 Worth of Groceries for $7.49


This is a picture of my latest shopping trip to Albertson's. I wanted to show you how combining sales, Catalinas, and coupons can really pay off when you go shopping.

2-20 ounce Diet Cokes = $1.50 each

2- Hershey Candy Bars = FREE (in-ad promo- buy 2-20 ounce coke products get two candy bars free)

2- Vitamin Waters (on sale $1.39) = FREE (tear pad coupon on Vitamin Water- buy 1-20 ounce Coke get
Vitamin Water for Free- used 2)

2- Rice-a-Roni - sale $1- used $1/3 printable from signing up for their "club" = $0.66 each

1- Pasta-Roni- sale $1- part of previous coupon = $0.66

1- Colgate Kid's toothpaste- sale $1- used a $1/1 coupon on Colgate kid's toothpaste that my son brought
home from school ( an orthodontist had visited the classroom and handed out toothbrushes and  toothpastes and they had awesome coupons in them- you never know where you are going to find a coupon!) = FREE

2- Country Crock Sides (mashed potatoes)- sale B1G1- used 2 $1/1 coupons from the 6/6 Smartsource
insert = $1.25 each

3- Danimals Crush Cups- sale $2 (*part of the Dairy Promo)- used 3 $1/1 coupons from 6/6 Smartsource
insert = $1 each (3 FREE after factoring in the Catalina)

2- 4 packs of Activa yogurt- sale $2 (*part of the Dairy Promo)- used 2 $1/1 coupons from 6/6   
Smartsource insert = $1 each (2 FREE after factoring in the Catalina)


GRAND TOTAL : Before coupons and promo- $29.76 + tax
                              Out of pocket total (actually spent) $12.49** + tax
                              Factor in the Catalina (net cost) $7.49** + tax

*Part of month long dairy promo- "Buy 5 specially tagged products get a $5 Catalina back- good on next purchase of non-dairy items."

** I had a store coupon for $2 off my purchase for calling in the survey that prints out at the bottom of your
receipt sometimes- I didn't include in my calculations because not everyone gets one all the time :) so my
actual total was $5.49 + tax.
