Our Trip To Disneyland......In December.

We just booked our Disneyland Vacation a couple of days ago.  I am so excited!  This will be the first trip to Disneyland for our kids (including their first time on an airplane).  We will be leaving in early December for 6 nights and 7 days (5 day park hopper).  Some of our friends told us that early December was a good time to go because there is usually less people (less crowds) and they have the park decorated for Christmas.  We will be staying at the Disneyland Hotel so that we could just walk to the park. (Like we won't be walking enough as it is, right!)

If you have ever planned a trip to Disneyland or DisneyWorld you know how daunting it can be with all the options to choose from. We finally decided to book our vacation with Costco Travel and they have been great about everything.  I talked to the agent on the phone for about 2 hours and he was very helpful and nice about answering all my questions.

Here are the extra perks that we are getting just for booking through Costco:

•Premium Character Dining Experience – choice of one breakfast, lunch or dinner (one per person, per stay) – a value of $38 per adult and $20 per child (ages 3-9).......This is worth a total of $136 for us.

•$20 Disney Gift Card (one per package)

•Collectible pin, lanyard and luggage tag (one per person)

I checked out Disney Travel and compared what we got from Costco Travel to what they had and we saved approximately $350 going through Costco.

We chose not to go with a dining plan because we find that when we travel we usually only eat breakfast and a late lunch/early dinner.  Plus, the dining plan is not a discount but rather a prepaid voucher.

Stay tuned for more posts on how we are saving on for our trip to Disneyland.
